With two decades as a professional writer, I know how to engage readers on their own terms. I’ve worked at various marketing and public relations agencies and organizations where I learned best practices and good craftmanship.

I also know how important analytics is to marketing. I’m certified in Social Media Strategy, Content Marketing, Inbound Marketing and Email Marketing via HubSpot.

I started my career in  newspapers, working at the Chicago Tribune, Post Tribune, Daily Herald and American Medical News.

During that time, I won more than a half dozen awards for public service, technology/medicine, park district reporting, government, in-depth feature writing and religion reporting.
